Currently, both the United States and Iran are locked in a stalemate, appearing unyielding to each other. In essence, one side exerts maximum pressure while the other grits its teeth in stubborn resistance. However, they share a common objective: to achieve a ceasefire negotiation outcome acceptable to each, thereby preserving face and justifying their actions to their domestic populace. The possibility of ground warfare is neither absolute nor entirely absent. Should both parties officially announce a ceasefire agreement tomorrow, it should come as no surprise, as their desire to halt hostilities is profound. Yet, it is also entirely plausible for merchants to unilaterally declare complete victory, cease fire, and abruptly withdraw.
